Pathways to Law
Phil is currently contracted by The Sutton Trust as Project Manager for the new 'Pathways to Law' initiative which is jointly funded by The College of Law and The Sutton Trust.
Pathways is a £1.5m programme which is being delivered by five leading UK universities – Leeds, LSE, Manchester, Southampton, Warwick – in combination with the College of Law and the leading English law firms.
Pathways is designed to attract fresh talent to the legal profession by targeting students from state schools who will be the first in their family to attend university, and whose parents are in non-professional occupations. It will offer students careers advice and guidance on university applications in Years 12/13, provide mentoring while they are at school and university, and introduce them to contacts in the legal world which will lead to work experience and placements with law firms and chambers.
