Record A level Results = Tougher Competition

Another record set of A level results in August 2008 means that it will be even more difficult to secure Bachelor places at the UK's top universities in 2009.

Due to the increasing demand for places at the leading universities, and the upward trend in results achieved by students, there will be fewer conditional offers made in 2009 as university admissions tutors try to control the numbers of new students accepted.

This, in turn, puts pressure on students considering applying to the UK to ensure that their academic grades are good enough, and their application gives them the opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

All in all, the 2009 application cycle for potential Bachelor students is going to be quite tough.
