One of the benefits of considering studying in the UK is the huge variety of courses and institutions available.

Courses

With over 55,000 Bachelor and nearly 20,000 Masters programmes on offer, there is a course available in the UK for all, whatever the individual subject interest. Many courses enable students to combine two or even three subjects together, with some offering work placements or periods abroad as part of the programme.

Institutions

There are nearly 200 institutions offering degree courses in the UK, ranging from the academic, research-led institutions to those who specialise more on the teaching side. Some are multi-faculty universities offering a wide range of subjects, whilst others are specialist colleges offering courses in a limited, focused area.

Each institution is autonomous with their own culture and style of teaching, learning and assessment, together with distinct admissions criteria, processes and procedures.

Some institutions are located right in the heart of one of the UK's major cities, whilst others are located on their own self-contained campuses a few kilometres from the nearest town.
